Havells Ad - I Am Not A Kitchen Appliance, I was surfing facebook and i come across this ad of Havells. As we all know Ads does not shows anything true. As far as Advertisement and marketing is concern, they have been tought that you should have ability to sell comb to bald person. Plus not to make boring tv ads they are alwaysing looking for innovative or emotional idea. I've come across one website in which they write article about this ad and saying that
"The high pedestal that they often place the traditional Indian arrange marriages on are often built on the foundations of patriarchy and misogyny. Why is the girl expected to be a homemaker? Why is she expected to ‘serve’ the husband and act like an obedient pet? This wonderful short advertisement is a brilliant satire that breaks the stereotypes that propagate regressive gender roles for women"

Are you guys agree that "getting married with Indian girl is mean expecting making coffee in morning", some may say yes why woman make coffee in morning for husband. I would say ask that person, in your house does your father is making coffee for himself and mother is making coffee/chai or food for her self only. I know very well that when it comes to marriage, there should not be any talk regarding what are man duties or what are woman duties. There should be some good level of communication. Now people of India have been made such confused since beginning, you won't find level of maturity or understanding in parents that they can able to deliver their statement with right manner.
Fact is that more than any other country "Mother's day celebrates in India". It is obvious that mom take care of their children. In this ad. she started conversation that "In US he has to go out to drink coffee", Yes people in US go out for coffee like Starbucks and all coffee shop. Now girl is stopping guy's mom and saying "here is coffee machine, it doesn't required visa even".
I am sure many of you will think that what's so big deal. It's just advertisement, just chill. But this is how they have been feed this nonsense in your mind. One way here they are talking about "why wife makes coffee for man" other way Delhi Govt made law for woman security, while in UP Mulayam Singh Yadav made statement regarding rape that "Youth, man are making mistake, for these kind of (Rape) mistake, there should not be such law required". People still clap on his statement and people are still voting their party. Don't you think that we are confused and we have been brain washing using this kind of ad on TV. think again.
Anit Indian people keep showing you this kind of non-sense in ads, movies and TV serials. Over the time we get habit that it is okay, what's wrong in it. But you don't notice what's wrong it?
Let me give you simple example, When you see someone killed infront of you, It's big deal for your mind to take it easy, but over the time, if this kind of activites keep happening infront of you, It is consider to be okay and it's consider part of day to day life.
20 years back we were not used to listen or watch vulgar language and vulgar scene, but over the time they have keep crossing the limits and now we are taking very easy if there is a vulgar scene in movies and serials. You might think, yeah they does but it doesn't mean by watching this kind of stuff, I will be like that. I woudl ask you really?, Answer is Yes, They are playing with your mind and tyring to make you like that.
